Jonah Schwartz is a Director and Cinematographer from New York who has been working in the industry for over 20 years. As a Director he has created over 100 music videos over the course of his career, collaborating with artists such as The Black Keys, A$AP Rocky, Method Man, RZA, Die Antwoord,  Freddie Gibbs, Curren$y, Joey Bada$$, Prodigy, Camron and countless others.
Growing up in New York in the 80's and 90's, Jonah was heavily influenced by the booming Hip Hop, Punk Rock, Skateboarding, and Indie Film cultures that saturated the city at the time and still wears those inspirations on his sleeve today. Jonah also spent a good portion of his career living in Japan, where he began working with many popular brands and artists such as Anarchy, KOHH ,and Nitro Microphone Underground , capturing the local culture on film and sharing it with the world. In 2009 Jonah directed the documentary feature, “Welcome To Blakroc” featuring The Black Keys. Most recently he directed the short film, “The Dark Age” in 2019, which is currently available on streaming platforms worldwide.

Jonah has also shared a long career in cinematography, lensing not only the majority of his own productions, but a wide range of commercial and narrative work for other Directors and Producers. As a DP he has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Adidas, Google, Puma, Apple, Microsoft, NFL Films, Guinness, Aflac Insurance, Firestone, and more. He was Cinematographer for the 2015 feature film, ‘Honor Up’ Directed by Damon Dash for Lionsgate Films, and also served as Camera Operator for the feature documentaries,  "Wu Tang: Of Mics and Men" on Showtime and "The Choice Is Yours" on Paramount+.

As a Photographer, his work has been published in Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, Billboard, The Source, Ollie and Woofin Magazine in Japan.

Jonah currently resides in New York, dividing his time between directing and working as a cinematographer for various commercial, documentary, and narrative productions.
